Lovely letter from our MP @JamesFrith delighted that we raised money for Papyrus - preventing young suicide - at our Charity pub quiz.
This is what we are currently getting on interest rates: mixed messages, smoke and mirrors! The factors, or 'signals' coming back from the Bank of England are ever changing (to keep in with World Cup analogies: they are moving several goalposts!).
What is predictable, however, is that they will go up - at some stage. They are at an all time low of 0.5% and the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) could vote to raise rates "sooner than markets currently expect".
We have some comfort in that any rise is promised to be "limited and gradual".
As ever, our advice to you is to get good advice! Whether the interest rate increase will affect your mortgage repayments, pension or other investments, we can best prepare your finances for any eventual scenario.
